King Kahawai Competition Grey River 31st January 2010

The week’s weather was great everyone was so excited that the conditions looked like they were going to be perfect for the Clubs annual King Kahawai Competition on the Grey River on Sunday 31st January, the day dawned sunny but windy.  The early bird boaties on the day had a bit of a struggle to get their boats in the water as full time was not until about 12.30 pm and with the lagoon water depth so low a few boats had a wee sit on the sand bar.
